Displaying Custom Content and HTML in Your Sidebar
How can I add code to my weblog's sidebar?
Answer
To display text or custom HTML or JavaScript code on your sidebar for items such as webrings, forms, and other weblog add-ons, you can use a Notes TypeList.
Note: You may want to take a look at the Widget Gallery. A widget can be added to your weblog with a few clicks without the need to create a Notes TypeList to add code to your blog.
1 Create a Notes TypeList
See Creating a New TypeList for more information.
2 Create a new item in the TypeList

3 Enter your code
Copy and paste the code into the Notes field of the TypeList item. The Label field is optional, if you add text here, it will display on your blog. Finally, save your item.
This can be used for a variety of purposes, such as displaying a Twitter badge, a Flickr badge, a LinkedIn button, a Creative Commons button, a Google search box or banner ads on your weblog.
4 Displaying TypeLists on your weblog

Corporations are Now Recognising the Issues of Health and Fitness and their Value for thier Workforce
Many businesses have begun to understand that investing in the health and fitness of their employees is a wise move. They are also beginning to realize the effects that it has on their bottom lines. Because of this they have begun to teach their employees the concepts and practices of overall fitness and health. Teaching employees good health and safety principles and practices will not only give them an edge on success but also reductions in healthcare payouts for their employees in sick days. The benefit of health and fitness education for employees is two fold. The employee will gain lower levels of stress, an increase level of self esteem and improved physical fitness with increased stamina. The employer gains employee productivity increases, decreased rates of illness, and develops employee leadership skills. There is one other benefactor in this whole process…the community. The community will become or stay a competitive player in the market place.

Laughter Is Truly The Best Medicine
If there's one thing I have to admit about my mother is that she was always right about this: Laughter Is The Best Medicine.
If you can't laugh about yourself and the things that happen to you - you're headed for a heart attack or some other malady, it's the way the body works. Laughter lightens the moment and strips away the seriousness that many of us approach life with; it releases the pain and chases away your personal rainstorms leaving a bright sunshiny day.
Scientists have also discovered that laughter strengthens your immune system and increases your cardiovascular flexibility (your blood vessels exercise through dilation).
According to Dr. Goodheart, the laughter doctor, laughter convulses your diaphragm, which in turn massages your internal organs. Massaged internal organs are happy internal organs and they cooperate by staying plump and juicy.
She says that laughter also causes you to gulp in large portions of air, oxygenating your blood. When that air is expelled, it's been clocked at 70 miles an hour, providing the lungs with an excellent workout. By laughing, she says, you lose muscle control, which relaxes the skeletal system. According to Dr. Goodheart, four-year-olds laugh 500 times a day, while adults laugh a mere 15! She's convinced that if we laugh as much as a four-year old, we've have the heart rate and blood pressure of that same child.
On top of all that, she continues, laughter causes the brain to produce hormones called beta endorphins which reduce pain and causes our adrenal glands to manufacture cortisol, which is a natural anti-inflammatory that's wonderful for arthritis.
Laughter also provides a catharsis, which means to purify or purge, to the emotions. It also brings about a spiritual renewal or release from tension. You notice how sometimes you'll see a comedian on television, and while he may not be that funny, something just makes you laugh uproariously? Your body seems to know that it needs the chemicals that are released through laughter.
I've always felt better after a good belly laugh or two. For me that means some very large-sounding snorts and a few donkey brays thrown into the bargain. Some people won't even go to the movie with me because when I start laughing I cannot stop. My daughters always used to go, Mom! as they slunk down into their seats trying not to be seen.
When someone's laughing, others laugh along. It's contagious. You can't help it. Oftentimes in my movie-theater laughter excursions, I have motivated a whole theater-full of people laughing right along with me. All this during the credits! (John Belushi being escorted through the prison in the opening credit scenes of The Blues Brothers. If you notice very carefully, while walking he has his butt cheeks pressed ever so tightly together as he's leaving the prison. It was a subtle physical comment that kept me laughing. The more people turned and looked at me, the harder I laughed! Finally, they just gave up and joined me!).
The Difference between Laughter, Humor, Teasing and Tickling
However, there is a difference between laughter, humor, teasing or tickling. Humor is your way of looking at the world, it's an intellectual exercise. It's your idea of what's funny; it's not the actual act of laughing.
Teasing and tickling are really a way of ridiculing someone. Tickling is something beyond someone's control and is actually a physical invasion of sorts. Children laugh when you tickle them because the body works that way, but it's actually a form of emotional ridicule that can result in very unpleasant feelings.
Teasing usually has an edge to it. People say they're teasing, but essentially they are dead serious. I think teasing is a passive-aggressive way of hurting someone through the guise of humor. Teasing, according to Dr. Goodheart, "involves our having information about something that another person has very strong feelings about - usually painful feelings - and then bringing that information up without permission." She also says that as people become very good friends they might give each other permission unconsciously to push each other's buttons. Husbands, wives, lovers, and friends play with each other's pain with permission. "When you tease without permission in order to trigger laughter, it's very manipulative and controlling."
All in all, when you're feeling down and need a lift, try laughter. It may be hard at first, but just try laughing. Force yourself. Pretty soon, you'll find yourself laughing at your own laughter and the looks you get from your family members. They'll begin to wonder what's so funny and the corners of their mouths will crinkle up in the beginning of a smile. Now you're laughing because they give you these quizzical looks wondering what you're laughing about.
Pretty soon, your laugh is real, your belly aches, the tears flow from your eyes, and the world takes on a different hue.
As for me when I laugh like this, I need Depends. I laugh so hard sometimes I wet my pants and that has nothing to do with my age.
I can still hear my friend's mom yelling at me today nearly 38 years later (while grinning ear to ear) to get off her brocade couch whenever I started laughing.
She knew what would happen.

Laughter lightens the moment and strips away the seriousness that many of us approach life with; it releases the pain and chases away your personal rainstorms leaving a bright sunshiny day.
Scientists have also discovered that laughter strengthens your immune system and increases your cardiovascular flexibility (your blood vessels exercise through dilation).
According to Dr. Goodheart, the laughter doctor, laughter convulses your diaphragm, which in turn massages your internal organs. Massaged internal organs are happy internal organs and they cooperate by staying plump and juicy.
She says that laughter also causes you to gulp in large portions of air, oxygenating your blood. When that air is expelled, it's been clocked at 70 miles an hour, providing the lungs with an excellent workout. By laughing, she says, you lose muscle control, which relaxes the skeletal system. According to Dr. Goodheart, four-year-olds laugh 500 times a day, while adults laugh a mere 15! She's convinced that if we laugh as much as a four-year old, we've have the heart rate and blood pressure of that same child.
On top of all that, she continues, laughter causes the brain to produce hormones called beta endorphins which reduce pain and causes our adrenal glands to manufacture cortisol, which is a natural anti-inflammatory that's wonderful for arthritis.
Laughter also provides a catharsis, which means to purify or purge, to the emotions. It also brings about a spiritual renewal or release from tension. You notice how sometimes you'll see a comedian on television, and while he may not be that funny, something just makes you laugh uproariously? Your body seems to know that it needs the chemicals that are released through laughter.
I've always felt better after a good belly laugh or two. For me that means some very large-sounding snorts and a few donkey brays thrown into the bargain. Some people won't even go to the movie with me because when I start laughing I cannot stop. My daughters always used to go, Mom! as they slunk down into their seats trying not to be seen.
When someone's laughing, others laugh along. It's contagious. You can't help it. Oftentimes in my movie-theater laughter excursions, I have motivated a whole theater-full of people laughing right along with me. All this during the credits! (John Belushi being escorted through the prison in the opening credit scenes of The Blues Brothers. If you notice very carefully, while walking he has his butt cheeks pressed ever so tightly together as he's leaving the prison. It was a subtle physical comment that kept me laughing. The more people turned and looked at me, the harder I laughed! Finally, they just gave up and joined me!).
The Difference between Laughter, Humor, Teasing and Tickling
However, there is a difference between laughter, humor, teasing or tickling. Humor is your way of looking at the world, it's an intellectual exercise. It's your idea of what's funny; it's not the actual act of laughing.
Teasing and tickling are really a way of ridiculing someone. Tickling is something beyond someone's control and is actually a physical invasion of sorts. Children laugh when you tickle them because the body works that way, but it's actually a form of emotional ridicule that can result in very unpleasant feelings.
Teasing usually has an edge to it. People say they're teasing, but essentially they are dead serious. I think teasing is a passive-aggressive way of hurting someone through the guise of humor. Teasing, according to Dr. Goodheart, "involves our having information about something that another person has very strong feelings about - usually painful feelings - and then bringing that information up without permission." She also says that as people become very good friends they might give each other permission unconsciously to push each other's buttons. Husbands, wives, lovers, and friends play with each other's pain with permission. "When you tease without permission in order to trigger laughter, it's very manipulative and controlling."
All in all, when you're feeling down and need a lift, try laughter. It may be hard at first, but just try laughing. Force yourself. Pretty soon, you'll find yourself laughing at your own laughter and the looks you get from your family members. They'll begin to wonder what's so funny and the corners of their mouths will crinkle up in the beginning of a smile. Now you're laughing because they give you these quizzical looks wondering what you're laughing about.
Pretty soon, your laugh is real, your belly aches, the tears flow from your eyes, and the world takes on a different hue.
As for me when I laugh like this, I need Depends. I laugh so hard sometimes I wet my pants and that has nothing to do with my age.
I can still hear my friend's mom yelling at me today nearly 38 years later (while grinning ear to ear) to get off her brocade couch whenever I started laughing.
She knew what would happen.

You’ve been trying to do something (or have something) for quite sometime, but it’s just not happening. You feel like you’ve done all your homework and “checked all the blocks” required for the task. Whatever it is you want, you feel that it’s really, really important and you want it bad! You begin to envy the other people who already have it. You wonder why, with all the hard work you’ve done, you don’t have it by now too? Sometimes you get angry, depressed, or discouraged because you don’t have it yet. You wonder why other people seem to cruise through life while you are struggling.

We saw negativity attracting negativity and a non-committal attitude (just trying). We talked about the Fear/Manifestation Paradox, due diligence, and envy. We looked at effectiveness, excellence, and efficiency. Lastly, we explored the importance of clarity and certainty.
Actions to Practice:
*Focus on what you desire, not on what you don’t have.
*Don’t complain, instead, be grateful for what you already have (and for what’s on its way).
*Do something everyday that takes you a little closer to your goal.
*Be effective first. Then be excellent - whether you get praise or not. Lastly, be efficient (meaning: do things quickly AND correctly).
*Be absolutely Clear in your intentions.
*Be Certain. If you can’t will yourself to be Certain, fake it until you feel it. Certainty cures doubt and worry.
- Last Sentence of The Scenario -

There are two ways you can view this sentence: The Loser’s Way or The Winner’s Way.
- The Loser’s Way -
“Oh, woe is me.”
Almost all losers harbor a victim mentality. (The only exception might be the people who lack the skills to read these words. For example, the mentally challenged, bona fide Psychiatric patients, etc.).
Losers habitually blame everything and everybody else for their personal plights. They revel in their refusal of reality, the reality that they are the First Cause of their own troubles.
They are masters of avoiding anything that might require a little work or a little courage. Personal responsibility is not part of their natures (or even in their vocabularies).
They love to gather with fellow losers (of which, there never is a shortage of) and share in communal commiseration. Consciously or subconsciously, they bask in the attention that their “bad luck or broken wing” gets from onlookers.
Personally, I believe that most losers choose their limited lives because of: 1) Ignorance – maybe they have never been exposed to people and media that espouse a different way of thinking (like this series of articles), 2) Fear – afraid of what might happen if they actually succeed at anything, and 3) Indolence – they are simply to lazy to put forth the time and effort required for success.
You can be a victim or you can be a winner. You can’t be both!
- The Winner’s View -
The winner is the person who, in spite of all odds, keeps on keeping on.
Winners are persistent. Winners know that success is inevitable as long as they don’t give up.
Walt Disney launched Mickey Mouse at the lowest point in his career. Edison had thousands of failed experiments before inventing a long-lasting light bulb. Ford spent years of failure-ridden R&D to come up with the one-block engine.
Oftentimes, the prize does not go to the most skilled, but to the most stubborn!
It’s the boxer who just keeps getting up from a knockdown.
It’s the tennis player who scrambles through a long point just to get the ball over the net one more time.
It’s the marathoner or triathlete who plugs away at the miles and sees all the previous leaders fall from the race.
- There’s no such thing as “Failure” -
Similar to the concept of hot and cold as being just two points on a temperature scale, winners know that failure and success are merely two points on the success continuum.
In other words, as long as one doesn’t quit, there is no such thing as failure, just opportunities to learn (for the next time).
Winners don’t complain. They do.
Never forgetting that “people become the information they seek and the company that they keep”, winners avoid group pity parties. They take full responsibility for everything in their lives – that means everything, the good and the bad.
They celebrate the good and move on. They learn from the bad and move on. They don’t stagnate, worry, or whine. They keep moving!
And the momentum of positive things, people, and places moves them faster and faster toward their goals.
- With Ease -
Ever notice how winning professionals make what they do look so easy?
The answer is simple.
Practice, preparation, and certainty.
I’m sure Tiger Woods couldn’t tell you how many golf balls he hit before winning his first tournament. Michael Jordan probably couldn’t tell you how many hours he spent on the basketball court before turning pro. And Roger Federer couldn’t tell you how many serves, overheads, forehands, and backhands he hit before winning his first Grand Slam event.
Proper preparation leads to professional performance.
Look at successful people in any endeavor. They leave virtually nothing to chance. They do everything possible to ensure success.
While I was in the military, we prepared for any contingency we could think of. We trained, trained, and trained – until everything was second nature.
Many times, when Plan A had to be aborted, Plan B was activated. And since we’d practiced it so many times, we did it almost with no extra effort or conscious thought.
Professionals (winners) prepare and practice until mastery. They keep their magnificent obsessions in the forefront of their minds and do everything imaginable to increase the likelihood of success.
They have that indescribable “it” that drives them on.
It’s the investor who actually reads the quarterly and annual reports of the companies he’s invested in.
It’s the speaker who rehearses his speech until he doesn’t need to look at his notes.
It’s the astronaut who knows all his duties, safety checks, and emergency procedures by heart.
It’s the Parachutist or SCUBA Diver who knows his body and his equipment’s full capabilities and limitations.
- Certainty Revisited -
Did you know that almost all Gold medalists “won their gold medals in their mind” thousands of times before getting their gold medals in reality?
It’s all about Certainty. Winners are Certain. There is never a doubt in their minds about the outcome. They’ve already “seen” it. They’ve already “felt” it. And they’ve already “won” it in their minds. Their whole being becomes saturated with Certainty.
Consequently, all their actions are fluid and deliberate.
And the Universe promptly delivers.
Reality catches up to their inner game and further bolsters the winner’s Certainty. It’s a wonderful cycle!
In other words, everything a winner does supports and builds confidence, mastery, and Certainty.
The end result is a powerful calmness that pushes away all fear and doubt. In the winner’s mind he has done all that’s necessary for success. He has put in his order to the Universe, done his due diligence, and “pre-lived” his success.
Now he can just be thankful, let go and receive.

Creating Your Vision
"Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one" Albert Einstein
I feel that one of the most important ingredients in your formula for success is having a clearly defined and vivid vision of where you want to be. At first the “how” is not that important, you need to create a vision that gets you so excited that you develop the mentality that you will stop at nothing to get what you want. Many people first focus on the how than very quickly find themselves overwhelmed with too many details and just as quickly talk them selves out of pursuing their goals. You have to take a leap of faith and trust that the how will be shown to you as you go along. Do you remember the days as a kid with dreams of epic proportions? What happened those dreams? You got older and domesticated by a society that says that having those dreams is foolish. That’s nonsense, why wouldn’t you want to accomplish the things that even as a kid you knew would make you happy. I encourage you to dream like you once used to.

One way I keep myself motivated and keep my vision alive is through my picture book. In my book I have everything that I want and every morning I look at it to remind me what I want in life. Go right now and get some magazines and cut out every picture of the things you want and places you want to visit, don’t be thinking if you can actually get those things now, dare to dream. Remember your mind thinks in pictures, look at your picture book until in becomes as vivid as possible in the theater of your mind. Your mind cant tell the difference between something you remember or something you experience in real time.
Visualization Exercises(meditation):
(Please read this whole section, I will explain why almost all self help fails to produce the results people want)
You can think of meditation as conscious sleeping. Just as you sleep to gain energy for your daily functioning, meditation is conscious sleeping that gives you all the energy(creative abilities) you need for what you intend to accomplish.
I also use lucid dreaming as another way to increase creativity, I will soon write a hub on lucid dreaming.(Lucid dreaming is when you actually become aware in your dream that you are dreaming, once properly trained you can control your dreams)
Use the power of meditation to help you achieve your goals. Strive to everyday meditate one minute for each year of your current age. I am 24, so everyday I try and meditate at least 24 minutes. If you are new to meditation check out this website on transcendental meditation .There are many techniques find something that feels good to you.
Quantum Mind Power
Daily Routine:
1. Pick a nice comfortable place where to meditate. Have an intention on what you plan to meditate on before hand. Ex. A destination you want to visit.
2. Find a comfortable position to sit. Sitting on a chair or on the floor, does not really matter as long as it is comfortable for you.
3. Cross your legs, clasp your hands together.(this helps make your own energy circuit and gives stability)
4.Close your eyes, than stop inner and outer chatter.
5. Relax, begin thinking that your whole body is becoming extremely relaxed.
6. Eyes should be closed.
7. You will notice that your mind is full of many thoughts. Your mind will than begin to ask questions to those thoughts and try and come up with answers whether they are known or unknown. This is why your mind(ego) can be your enemy if it mostly thinks in negative terms.
8. You will need to transcend your mind and thoughts in order to meditate. Your mind and thoughts are what separate you from your higher self, you can also think of your higher self as your subconscious mind don't worry about the labels.
9. You transcend your mind by simply observing your breath. Don't inhale/exhale consciously just observe your natural breathing. Don't go behind your thoughts, if you catch your self drifting just always come back to your breathing. Slowly the amount of thoughts reduces and your breathing becomes thinner and shorter. If you are able to keep all your focus on your breath, you will get to the point of no thought and no breath. This state of no thought is your connection to your divine being and energy body. The more you meditate the more benefits and energy that you will receive. Your own self awareness and consciousness will also expand.
10. You will feel a very pleasurable feeling meditating. If you feel any discomfort in your body these can be possible areas of disease or illness. If you meditate everyday you will heal your body naturally.
11. Now that you are in a state of no thought and total relaxation. Begin to think only on your intention. Remember whatever you think now is in a state that will be impregnated directly into your subconscious. It is incredibly important that you don't color any of your thoughts with any lack,limitation,dis belief or doubt. This is why almost all self help material does not produce the results people expect. Wishing for more money(or anything else) never works, the thought of wanting more money also has the thought of doubt attached to it. Ask your self how many thoughts that you think about have been modified in a way that is not beneficial to you. You just never realize that you are programming your sub conscious all day. This is why meditation is so powerful. You are able to make suggestions to your subconscious where the thought is not modified in any way shape or form. So if you want to make things happen fast you need to get rid of the concept of attaching time to yourthoughts. You have to remember that everything you get in your life comes based on the conditions that you set up and time is usually one condition that cuases the most frustration with people. Just as a computer programmer gives a computer instructions to complete a task, you program the most powerful computer you have which is your subconscious. Your conscious mind acts as the gate keeper as to what thoughts you let in. Now that you know this choose to become more aware and conscious about what you think all day long. Learn to see the world in a non linear way, remove time from your consiousness and watch how things show up in your life faster than you ever thought.
Thoughts = feelings = actions = results (just like that you can begin to shape your life)
12. Mentally rehearse every moment of it with all your senses. Dare to be like Peter Pan :)
13. Visualize in vivid detail, your intention as established fact. Also make sure you meditate only on days you feel good. Remember you want your thoughts to be as pure as possible. You need to truly make a decision to adopt the belief that you are really outgoing. When you truly decide to do something you will find a way to do it.

The more attention you give a thought the more powerful it will become than you will make it harder for yourself to get back to a productive mind state. The only way to change how you feel is to think about something else. Whenever you feel doubt, fear, and failure creeping into your mind have a default thought that you can use to avoid giving attention to mental poison. As soon as I feel I am entertaining thoughts of negativity I immediately begin to think about relaxing on a beach and affirm to myself that “I attract abundance to all areas of my life”. The more I try and have the feelings of being on the beach with no worries and remind myself that I am in complete control of how I feel, I immediately feel the negativity begin to melt away as I begin to focus on my new positive thought.
2. Develop the belief that you are better than you currently feel- don’t look at your weaknesses as a burden but as an opportunity to improve your self. When I find something I don’t like about my personality I don’t get down on myself for it, I just realize that now I have something I can work on to make myself better. Read any books that will spark your interest or help you discover any distinctions that will point you in the right direction. Find a role model, a person who has already accomplished what you want. Find out what some of their beliefs, interests, body language, image, etc. is and adopt them as your own. Your role model can serve as a blue print, the goal is to cut down on the trial and error so you can get where you want faster than you ever thought possible. You can take all the qualities from all the people you admire and add your own personal touch. Just think of if it as if you are trying to build the person you want and know you can be. Thomas Edison is one of the greatest inventors in history, he was able to elaborate, modify and adapt on other peoples ideas. You don’t have torecreate the wheel just constantly be aware of any success ingredients you come across and make them part of your identity. Think of your mind as a warehouse the more you learn and store will eventually serve as an inventory for future reference, which will breed new ideas and perspectives.
Consistency is key we are all creatures of patterns and habits. In order to become the person you desire to be, start by changing your patterns. Think of all the quality traits you must possess, make a pattern which uses those traits efficiently than strive to be consistent. Consistency will develop into habits and this is key because if you fail to be consistent with your actions you will not be consistent with who you desire to be. This lack of confusion between your actions and what your mind knows you are capable of leads to tremendous amounts of stress, confusion, and even depression. Many other consequences also come from a lack of consistency.
This is why awareness of self is critical; you need to be constantly evaluating your self. Decide if the persona you are currently displaying is the reality that you want for yourself,because with enough time thats what your reality will become.

I feel that one of the most important ingredients in your formula for success is having a clearly defined and vivid vision of where you want to be. At first the “how” is not that important, you need to create a vision that gets you so excited that you develop the mentality that you will stop at nothing to get what you want. Many people first focus on the how than very quickly find themselves overwhelmed with too many details and just as quickly talk them selves out of pursuing their goals. You have to take a leap of faith and trust that the how will be shown to you as you go along. Do you remember the days as a kid with dreams of epic proportions? What happened those dreams? You got older and domesticated by a society that says that having those dreams is foolish. That’s nonsense, why wouldn’t you want to accomplish the things that even as a kid you knew would make you happy. I encourage you to dream like you once used to.

One way I keep myself motivated and keep my vision alive is through my picture book. In my book I have everything that I want and every morning I look at it to remind me what I want in life. Go right now and get some magazines and cut out every picture of the things you want and places you want to visit, don’t be thinking if you can actually get those things now, dare to dream. Remember your mind thinks in pictures, look at your picture book until in becomes as vivid as possible in the theater of your mind. Your mind cant tell the difference between something you remember or something you experience in real time.
Visualization Exercises(meditation):
(Please read this whole section, I will explain why almost all self help fails to produce the results people want)
You can think of meditation as conscious sleeping. Just as you sleep to gain energy for your daily functioning, meditation is conscious sleeping that gives you all the energy(creative abilities) you need for what you intend to accomplish.
I also use lucid dreaming as another way to increase creativity, I will soon write a hub on lucid dreaming.(Lucid dreaming is when you actually become aware in your dream that you are dreaming, once properly trained you can control your dreams)
Use the power of meditation to help you achieve your goals. Strive to everyday meditate one minute for each year of your current age. I am 24, so everyday I try and meditate at least 24 minutes. If you are new to meditation check out this website on transcendental meditation .There are many techniques find something that feels good to you.
Quantum Mind Power
Daily Routine:
1. Pick a nice comfortable place where to meditate. Have an intention on what you plan to meditate on before hand. Ex. A destination you want to visit.
2. Find a comfortable position to sit. Sitting on a chair or on the floor, does not really matter as long as it is comfortable for you.
3. Cross your legs, clasp your hands together.(this helps make your own energy circuit and gives stability)
4.Close your eyes, than stop inner and outer chatter.
5. Relax, begin thinking that your whole body is becoming extremely relaxed.
6. Eyes should be closed.
7. You will notice that your mind is full of many thoughts. Your mind will than begin to ask questions to those thoughts and try and come up with answers whether they are known or unknown. This is why your mind(ego) can be your enemy if it mostly thinks in negative terms.
8. You will need to transcend your mind and thoughts in order to meditate. Your mind and thoughts are what separate you from your higher self, you can also think of your higher self as your subconscious mind don't worry about the labels.
9. You transcend your mind by simply observing your breath. Don't inhale/exhale consciously just observe your natural breathing. Don't go behind your thoughts, if you catch your self drifting just always come back to your breathing. Slowly the amount of thoughts reduces and your breathing becomes thinner and shorter. If you are able to keep all your focus on your breath, you will get to the point of no thought and no breath. This state of no thought is your connection to your divine being and energy body. The more you meditate the more benefits and energy that you will receive. Your own self awareness and consciousness will also expand.
10. You will feel a very pleasurable feeling meditating. If you feel any discomfort in your body these can be possible areas of disease or illness. If you meditate everyday you will heal your body naturally.
11. Now that you are in a state of no thought and total relaxation. Begin to think only on your intention. Remember whatever you think now is in a state that will be impregnated directly into your subconscious. It is incredibly important that you don't color any of your thoughts with any lack,limitation,dis belief or doubt. This is why almost all self help material does not produce the results people expect. Wishing for more money(or anything else) never works, the thought of wanting more money also has the thought of doubt attached to it. Ask your self how many thoughts that you think about have been modified in a way that is not beneficial to you. You just never realize that you are programming your sub conscious all day. This is why meditation is so powerful. You are able to make suggestions to your subconscious where the thought is not modified in any way shape or form. So if you want to make things happen fast you need to get rid of the concept of attaching time to yourthoughts. You have to remember that everything you get in your life comes based on the conditions that you set up and time is usually one condition that cuases the most frustration with people. Just as a computer programmer gives a computer instructions to complete a task, you program the most powerful computer you have which is your subconscious. Your conscious mind acts as the gate keeper as to what thoughts you let in. Now that you know this choose to become more aware and conscious about what you think all day long. Learn to see the world in a non linear way, remove time from your consiousness and watch how things show up in your life faster than you ever thought.
Thoughts = feelings = actions = results (just like that you can begin to shape your life)

Improving Life Using Ho oponopono
It very well may be that the life experience has always been trying, but one could certainly argue that life coping is more difficult now than it's ever been. There are inherent responsibilities to any person's life, there is the need to somehow find the means to survive, and there's competition for resources. In short, life can be quite hard.
The final result from all the pressures of modern living can be a sense of feeling overwhelmed. How this sense of feeling overwhelmed is ultimately expressed can obviously vary from person to person. Some people exhibit symptoms of depression or anxiety. There are those who may hold up, so to speak, and socially withdraw as a means of stress coping. Other people attempt to cope through the use of alcohol or narcotics, sometimes to the point of developing addictions.
Clearly there are also methods for coping with life pressures that are generally thought to be positive. Physical exercise is one means for stress reduction that is often applauded. Psychological therapy is becoming more accepted in mainstream society. Having regular interaction with friends and family is typically thought to be a healthy countermeasure to unhappiness.
Another method for maintaining mental balance that is increasingly gaining notoriety is ho'oponopono. The ho'oponopono technique originated in Hawaii and has been used across generations. The method historically was used as a conflict resolution between different groups. However a newer form is now in place that allows for resolution within an individual.
This newer ho'oponopono form is a process of resolving difficulties that takes place entirely within a single person. The thinking goes that all problems and life difficulties can be traced to the individual. Keeping this in mind, involving entire groups isn't necessary as the individual alone can apply this new method: problem resolution and life difficulty can be accomplished in singular fashion.
The fact of the matter is that ho'oponopono is not yet widely known. This is beginning to change however as more people become aware of the method. Informative articles and even entire books have been written about ho'oponopono, and this information wave has served to inform additional people about the methd. This trend seems to be growing, the implication being that people who try ho'oponopono sometimes become advocates.

Are You Eating Lemons or Enjoying Lemonade?
Is your life full of lemons or lemonade?
Expressing your Inner Wizard is about seeing lemonade instead of lemons rather than making lemonade out of lemons. If you believe that your self, your environment and the world is made up of lemons then most of what you see will be - lemons! Your mind will be constantly on the look-out for lemons to prove your internal, unconscious, belief system - your Inner Critic - is RIGHT. The world is full of lemons and lemons are what you expect to get! If, however, your mindset is programmed to look out for lemonade then that's the lens through which you will view your selves, your environment and your world. This is the view of your Inner Wizard.

Have you ever decided to buy a car? You've selected the exact make, model and color of the car you wish to purchase. Seemingly all of a sudden you start to see the same make, model and color of car everywhere. Until you selected that particular car you saw only a handful of them on the streets. Once you clearly identified what it is that you wanted your mind became programmed to look out for it and attract it. Just as you programmed your mind to look for a specific car, your mind is programmed on the belief system you adopted for yourself when you were very young.
Examples of 'lemon' Inner Critic beliefs include:
- I'm not smart enough.
- Rich people are jerks.
- I'm not worthy.
- The world is a dangerous place.
- Salespeople just want to rip you off.
- I'm a failure.
More often than not you're not even aware of these internal beliefs, yet they run your life! For example, if you listen to your Inner Critic and believe that rich people are jerks then you will never become, or stay, wealthy because you certainly don't want to be a jerk!
A simple belief about yourself guides a large part of your life and you probably don't even know it. This belief permeates how you view your experiences and the choices you make. The view you adopt for yourself profoundly affects the way you lead your life. It is your mindset that stops you from already being, doing and having what you want in life.
Ok, so how did you establish your internal programming, your mindset, to begin with?
At a very young age you saw, heard or felt something and gave it a meaning. More often than not you misinterpreted what you saw, heard or felt. After all, you were very young.
Think about it. I've often asked parents if they ever said or did something that their child completely misinterpreted. They all say, "Yes! Every day!"
Guess what you did as a kid! You misinterpreted a lot of what you saw and heard and made up a belief - empowered your Inner Critic - based on what you think you saw or heard.
For example, a parent or teacher could have said, "Look how smart your sister is, she got an A on her test." Your young ears hear this and take on the belief, "If I get anything less than A's I'm not smart." Unless you're a straight-A student, you go through your life thinking you're not smart." You question your judgment. You think you're not smart enough to accomplish your goals. Since your unconscious belief system is always looking to be right, you unconsciously constantly look for evidence that proves "You're not smart". You ignore, or simply do not see, any evidence that proves you are smart. So, you either block yourself from even going after certain goals because you believe that you are not smart enough to achieve them or you set yourself up for failure to prove, once again, that you are not smart enough!
By the way, your parents and teachers did not get up in the morning and deliberately figure out ways they could mess up your life. They were simply doing the best that they can. They have Inner Critics too, complete with their own set of unsupportive beliefs about themselves, their environment and the world. The choices they make are based on their own internal programming - and whether they've given their personal power over to their Inner Critic or Inner Wizard.
Many people use affirmations to reverse such Inner Critic beliefs as "I am not smart' within their thought pattern. They may look in the mirror daily and tell themselves that they are, indeed, smart. Trouble is, unless they believe that they truly are smart enough at their deepest level the "I am not smart" Inner Critic viewpoint will continue to run them.
If your conscious thoughts are not in alignment with your unconscious beliefs, your mindset, the unconscious beliefs will prevail. You bring into your life what you are wanting, your dreams and aspirations. When your conscious and unconscious beliefs are the same - in alignment - and your personal power is restored to your Inner Wizard, life becomes easy and magical. Those serendipitous and fortunate 'co-incidences' and 'out of the blue' opportunities happen frequently. Life flows smoothly - even around the bumps and twists along the way.
The good news is your internal programming can be changed. Change your thoughts to change your life. Life transformation is about seeing things in a new way. As your Guide, my job is to shine a light on how you think and make decisions, reveal your unconscious Inner Critic, work with you to remove its power and re-connect with your Inner Wizard. Returning your personal power to your Inner Wizard will create an internal belief system that will support you as you turn your dreams into reality.

How to Adapt To Change By Meditation
Adjusting to any kind of transformation in your life can be very nerve-wracking. The one thing I have realized is when it comes to any kind of transformation is to keep it on a positive level. To do that I stay calm by meditating and keep it all in focus. I was talking to a friend about how I was very apprehensive about a change I would soon have to make in my life. She told me that almost over twenty years ago she had bought a brand new car and it was parked in an alley near her house.
She exited her house just at that moment she saw an old VW bus scrape the front fender of her car. As she continued to tell me what occurred she informed me she was trying to stay calm and realized she had to meditate and get centered on the situation. She went on to tell me that the driver stepped out of his car, threw his hat on the ground, and then hung his head, holding it in his hands. She realized that he clearly didn’t have the money to pay for the damage to her car and he almost started to cry.
My friend still meditating to keep things in perspective approached the man and you could tell he was very anxious and expected her to say something like: What an idiot, Can you not see, or just something so mean that he would just feel terrible. As she approached the man she simply said don’t worry about the scrape and to have a nice day. He could not believe what he was hearing. He began to cry tears of happiness and wrapped his arms around my friend. He then ran to his wife who was in the car wondering what they were going to do and he wrapped his arms around his wife and introduced her to my friend.
As they were chatting my friend informed them how she used meditation to keep as relaxed as possible because she had short fuse in the past that presented her with a lot of problems. The couple and my friend became the best of friends. Here it is 20 years later and the man has since passed away and his wife is in a home for the elderly my friend still visits the woman weekly and still talks about the day they had met.
Using meditation will certainly help you think about the situation you are in and to not act on a whim, but to deal with whatever predicament it is you are in so you will behave properly. After my friend and I talked I considered how I could adapt to the change I would have to make by optimistic thinking and could make a bad situation into something that will have a very special meaning in my life. The greatest accomplishment of Jose Rizal
About 111 years ago in the grounds of Luneta Manila, Spanish authorities shot a man. A man who was about to change the course of Philippine history, a man we know today as Jose Rizal. At the end of the year we are always asked to remember the death anniversary of the greatest Filipino that ever lived.
What was the reason why Jose Rizal was chosen as our national hero ? What is the greatest legacy that he gave to the Filipino people ? Majority of Filipinos believed that Jose Rizal become a national hero because of his example and his writings that greatly influenced most of our revolutionary leaders. However there are those who believe that he should only be declared a hero not “The national hero.” Majority of Filipinos also believe that the greatest legacy that he gave to the Filipino people was his patriotism and his love for his country.
Years ago when I was taking up the required “Rizal” course in college, I was so amazed by the story of Jose Rizal that I went through Zaide’s book on Rizal in just one day. I consider Jose Rizal is one of my “Role models.” When I went to Manila, I made sure that I could visit the actual grounds where Rizal was shot. Contrary to what others believe, Rizal was not shot where the Rizal shrine in Luneta stands. The actual place where he was shot is several meters away from the shrine. As you approach the area you can see a sign that says that the place is “hollowed ground.” and it truly is for me. After we took the bar exams, I went with my family to Enchanted Kingdom. I also saw this as an oppurtunity to visit nearby Calamba, Laguna, Rizal’s home. Hopefully, I hope to visit his place of exile in Dapitan someday. Reading so much about Rizal, being to the places where he has been, and watching so many Rizal movies, I cannot help but ask myself, how could a somebody who lived only 34 years of his life make a huge difference in this world, not only in his country but globally as well ?
It is my personal belief that Jose Rizal’s greatest legacy is a life that is full of meaning and purpose. Even if he lived for only 34 years, he accomplished so much because he had a vision in his mind and a mission in his heart. The strength and intensity of such mission and vision translated into action. That is why he did not waste any time in trivial matters. Rather he devoted all of his time to live out his mission and accomplish his vision.
The proper question that each and everyone of us should be asking is, Will our lives truly matter? Can we honestly say to ourselves that we have lived a life of purpose and meaning ? If we fail to answer this question positively, then would to God that he would grant us a personal vision and mission for our lives so that we might not waste our time on trivial things. If we do this, we might be able to live the kind of life that Jose Rizal did, leaving a legacy for other to follow. Just like Jose Rizal, leaving a legacy is I believe, my “higher calling.

What Does RICH Mean To You?
Have you ever been asked that question?
I was!
Back in 1979 while doing a “pressure cooker” course on selling with an insurance company!
I wondered how relevant that question was, considering my personal and financial situation at the time.
No wife!
No job!
I was a solo dad with three children, one of them a baby less than a year old.
“You must be kidding”, I thought to myself at the time!
What relevance can that have to me learning to sell insurance policies?
How naive I was!
The course that followed had an unbelievably positive and a life changing effect on me. Although it only took affect several years later. The seed had been sown!
You’re probably saying to yourself, “How can a course on selling life insurance have that much effect on anyone?”
Well that Insurance Company was the one created by W Clement Stone.
I found the course to be very challenging, because in New Zealand at that time we weren’t really aware of the “Hype” that Americans used to motivate their workers to perform at their optimum. It pleases me each time I think about it now, to know that I passed, top of the class and received a book as a reward, this book was already a best seller, but I’d never heard of it.
Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude, of which W Clement Stone was co-author with Napoleon Hill. They shared their secrets on becoming wealthy and having a healthy, productive lifestyle, utilising the power of a "positive mental attitude". Sadly my motivation and my persistence waned and I stopped selling insurance.
I kept all the information, studies and the book I had won.
The “BOOK” Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude, which I never opened or read for probably 3 years.
However I did continue two very positive things! I continued to read on a daily basis some of his quotes and I even put them on the wall. My two
favourites were;
“Success is achieved and maintained by those who try and keep trying” and
“Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve”.
The second thing and the one which I believed the most important was “Goal Setting” I enjoyed the challenge and had learned enough during the course to
realise its long term value.
Life began to take several steps in the right direction not major ones, but positive ones.
Several important things happened in my life over the next 12 years.
Around 1981-2 I began reading, Through a Positive Mental Attitude,
I applied so many of their ideas and formulae, and by 1992 mine and my families life had completely turned around, this included a wonderful wife and two more children and a list of goals I had made in 1986 after father passed away, became a reality.
I had arrived finally, or so I thought, and was ready to respond to the question that still continued to bother me after all those years.
What Does RICH Mean To You?
I had some answers!
That’s what I believed anyway!
1 - " A consistent income created from hard work
2 - " A healthy family
3 - " A loving wife and loving children
4 - "A nice car
5 - " A great holidays
There are other things, but they are either directly or indirectly related to the above list.
Even now when I look at that list it seems to have “hit the nail on the head”.
Then within three years it all slowly began to fall apart, business wise, thankfully not family wise our “Polynesian Inheritance” is so strong, family always come first!
Where was I going wrong?
What was I doing wrong?
Whose fault was it?
Why now when we seemed so successful?
A myriad of questions passed through my mind, I began to blame myself, I was making wrong decisions.
I had begun a downward slide a personal one that took away my mental fortitude, my belief, my self-confidence, I lost motivation, the thing that really hurts me when I think back is that, “I didn’t really care anymore” I began to think that the world owed me, I was a good person so for that I should be rewarded. What a “Pity party”, darn pitiful is all I can say now!
After all these years I am finally getting back on track!
I realise that age and the new generation means I can never be what I was back then, why?
Well that’s the past and I now live for today!
Not tomorrow!
I have found a “Certain Way” that has been available to each and every one of us for more than ninety years.
Probably what W Clement Stone and Napoleon Hill and thousands of others used to become rich, but forgot to tell us some very vital points, whether they did it consciously or just took it for granted that we would figure it out, I am really not to sure.

Items 1-23 Item 1: The Franchisor, Its Predecessors, and Affiliates This section gives you a background on the Franchisor, including anyone he/she has purchased the franchise from, and any affiliates, meaning anyone else who has a controlling interest in the franchise. Do your research on these representatives, including a credit check if possible. You're quite possibly investing your life savings with these people and knowing any other businesses in which they have been involved and how well they manage financial aspects is important.
Item 2: Business Experience This section gives you a background on the officers and directors of the franchise for the past five years. Similar to the information you will review on the Franchisor itself, you want to carefully review the expertise these people bring to the table. Item 4: Bankruptcy The bankruptcy disclosure requires that they tell you up front about any bankruptcy in the last 10 years concerning, "the franchisor, its affiliate, its predecessor, officers, or general partner". Entrepreneurs often have several failures before they are successful. Learning from failed business is not the experience you want to have, which is why you are considering a franchise. This doesn't always mean that having a bankruptcy in the disclosure is a sure prediction of a bankruptcy in the future, but you want to review the circumstances of the bankruptcy carefully, including the amount of time that has lapsed since that bankruptcy. You typically don't want to give your money to someone with a proven track record of not being able to manage it.

Having the right to an "exclusive area" cuts down on the competition, at least from within your own franchise. Unfortunately, not all franchisees are alike. Some will take full advantage of their area and develop the market to its fullest. Others will assume that the lack of competition in their immediate area means they have a right to the business and therefore don't work quite as hard to develop that area. There are many other situations in which an exclusive area causes issues for a franchisor, and most will not grant them. Some will grant an exclusive area only for a specified amount of time or only as long as a certain level of achievement is reached by the franchisee. Understanding what options the franchise offers is very important.
Item 13: Trademarks This section discloses any trademarks, service mark, service name or logotype used in the franchise business and whether or not that trademark or service mark are registered with the US Patent Office. Item 16: Restrictions on What the Franchisee May Sell Restrictions on what you may sell will affect those franchisees who want to operate an expandable business while they own the franchise. This section is also important if you are limited to selling goods or services that won't make you enough return.
Item 17: Renewal, Termination, Transfer, and Dispute Resolution This section is one of the most important in the entire document, and is presented in a table format for easy browsing. The best contract is one stating that as long as you do not breech your contract you can renew your franchise agreement, forever. Contracts that place a limit on your possibility to renew solely at the discretion of the franchisor are bad. Also pay close attention to extensive repairs or decoration that will required as a condition of renewal. The amount of money expected to be spent should be reasonable and there should be some kind of formula so that costs are not incurred all in the same year. Additionally, the refurbishment should keep you industry competitive.
There are many types of transfers. Transferring among business entities, such as from a sole proprietorship into a corporation, should definitely be allowed. A good agreement will also allow your franchise to be transferred to your heirs. If this is not allowed and you're still interested in purchasing the franchise, try to make some provision for the repurchase of your franchise by the franchisor.
This section also outlines the causes for termination of the franchise agreement, states whether the franchise can be sold and who has the right of first refusal (your own blood relatives should not, ideally, come after the franchisor on first rights), and delineates your right to arbitration. Essentially, the more rights you have to control the renewal and transfer of your franchise, the more rights you have for the continuation of your business and the better the agreement. Make sure your franchise attorney reviews these rights as well as your rights to litigation (or requirement to use arbitration). The best way to get an idea of what to expect for earnings is to talk to existing franchisees. Find out how long they've been in business, when the business turned profitable, and what their average profits have been. Remember that each business is unique and that each franchisee does not run a business equally well. Speak to several franchisees to get a clearer picture of a range that you might be able to expect.
Item 20: List of Outlets All of the existing franchise locations, along with the franchisee's contact information, is listed in this section. This is the pot of gold, right here. Contacting franchisees with questions about their relationship to the franchisor, their ability to meet their contractual obligations, their general earnings, and how realistic the start-up projections are is the best bit of research and review you can possibly do before purchasing your franchise. Item 15: Obligation to Participate in and the Actual Operation of the Franchise Business This section outlines any requirements for the franchisee to personally be involved in the operation of the franchise. If the franchise does not require the franchisee to run the business him or herself, then there must be a statement outlining whether or not a manager running the day-to-day operations of the franchise in place of the owner must complete the franchisor's training program and/or own an equity share of the business, and any limitations placed on the manager (such as being approved by the franchise).
Item 16: Restrictions on What the Franchisee May Sell Restrictions on what you may sell will affect those franchisees who want to operate an expandable business while they own the franchise. This section is also important if you are limited to selling goods or services that won't make you enough return.
Item 17: Renewal, Termination, Transfer, and Dispute Resolution This section is one of the most important in the entire document, and is presented in a table format for easy browsing. The best contract is one stating that as long as you do not breech your contract you can renew your franchise agreement, forever. Contracts that place a limit on your possibility to renew solely at the discretion of the franchisor are bad. Also pay close attention to extensive repairs or decoration that will required as a condition of renewal. The amount of money expected to be spent should be reasonable and there should be some kind of formula so that costs are not incurred all in the same year. Additionally, the refurbishment should keep you industry competitive.
There are many types of transfers. Transferring among business entities, such as from a sole proprietorship into a corporation, should definitely be allowed. A good agreement will also allow your franchise to be transferred to your heirs. If this is not allowed and you're still interested in purchasing the franchise, try to make some provision for the repurchase of your franchise by the franchisor.
This section also outlines the causes for termination of the franchise agreement, states whether the franchise can be sold and who has the right of first refusal (your own blood relatives should not, ideally, come after the franchisor on first rights), and delineates your right to arbitration. Essentially, the more rights you have to control the renewal and transfer of your franchise, the more rights you have for the continuation of your business and the better the agreement. Make sure your franchise attorney reviews these rights as well as your rights to litigation (or requirement to use arbitration). Any additional risks for litigation will also be on the cover page, remember.
Item 18: Public Figures This section requires the disclosure of any public figures the franchise uses as a spokesperson, how much they were paid, and how much control they have in the business (if any). Find out how this arrangement relates to you, whether you can use that figure in personal appearances or advertising, how much it would cost and how frequently you would be allowed to do so.
Item 19: Earnings Claims It is very tricky for a franchisor to project, estimate, or in any way forecast financial sales. There are so many variables in play for an individual franchise that it would be mostly guesswork and optimism to project for a prospective franchisee how much money they will make with their business. Any claims made by the franchisor to this effect must be substantiated, so rarely will you see any earning claims included in a UFOC. The best way to get an idea of what to expect for earnings is to talk to existing franchisees. Find out how long they've been in business, when the business turned profitable, and what their average profits have been. Remember that each business is unique and that each franchisee does not run a business equally well. Speak to several franchisees to get a clearer picture of a range that you might be able to expect.
Item 20: List of Outlets All of the existing franchise locations, along with the franchisee's contact information, is listed in this section. This is the pot of gold, right here. Contacting franchisees with questions about their relationship to the franchisor, their ability to meet their contractual obligations, their general earnings, and how realistic the start-up projections are is the best bit of research and review you can possibly do before purchasing your franchise. Prepare your questions and schedule time with franchees in advance; this one is important.
Item 21: Financial Statements This section points you to the exhibits containing the audited financial statements of the franchisor for the last three years. Take these statements to a qualified accountant for review. The financial status of the franchisor is a track record, showing you not only the ability of the franchisor to run the business, but also the likelihood of success or failure.
Item 22: Contracts All contracts or agreements a franchisee will need to sign must be attached to the UFOC. This includes the Franchise Agreement, purchase agreements, lease agreements, and others.
Item 23: Receipt This document is a receipt of acknowledgment of the UFOC. This has to be provided as the last page of the document for the franchisee to acknowledge that they have received it. This is only important because no monies can legally be exchanged until 10 days after the receipt of the UFOC (the "cooling off" period provided for by law).
Exhibits Any documents that have been identified in the UFOC for the franchise to review or sign must be included as an Exhibit. The exhibits will include copies of such things as the financial statements, Franchise Agreement, leases, or Loan Agreements.
